Hate and terror
After Bush left office, people seemed to mostly stop calling terrorism “terror”.

I am glad that we’ve stopped talking like goddamn children there and have gone back to calling it “terrorism”.
But we still call discrimination “hate”, which I think is equally stupid. As in “hate groups”. Why not call them “discrimination groups” or “bigotry groups” or something? “Hate” just sounds overly simplistic, like someone is trying to explain the problem to a child who wouldn’t understand it. You might as well be calling them “bad guy groups”.
